still running

It's been exactly one week since I began my marathon training, and while I'm still a pathetic runner (It takes me 12-13 minutes to run one mile) at least I'm still running. I run three days a week, cross train (right now that's swimming) two days and rest two days. My first run of the week is a leisurely run for a prescribed amount of time. My second run of the week is my speed run where I attempt, emphasis on attempt, to run at my desired marathon pace. It's amazing how hard it is to speed up your time by even 30 seconds. My third run of the week is my distance run.

Tomorrow I cross train. I'm thinking I may swim.
